Classical Compositions
“All In,” an original song written and composed by Jenna Park and performed by the Sounds of Humanity of Blair Academy, describes the “Blair way” and everyday life at Blair, and sends an encouraging message that we can get through hard times because we have one another.
Evolution of Sound is a self-composition illustrating the different kind of sounds that could be heard throughout history as it evolved; the sound of bass drums represent the Big Bang and the creation of the universe, the sound of a creaky chapel door was used to portray the sound of dinosaurs, and the sound of classical instruments representing the age of Renaissance, to the sounds delineating the invention of media and television.
This original song, inspired by my experience at the Korean DMZ during last summer's Lindenbaum Music Festival, encapsulated my hope of washing away the humidity, heat, pollutants, and negative thoughts, and of transforming them into positive energy and hopefully, peace on the peninsula.
