Record the World
an initiative of Sounds of Humanity, an organization that creatively uses sonic tools—voice, instruments, digital effects, and even everyday sounds—to promote a sense of community on campus and beyond. This digital map of the global soundscape showcases field recordings by members of Sounds of Humanity in 24 different cities around the world. We aim to provide an immersive auditory experience through which visitors will “travel” to a calm village port, a majestic reindeer migration, a downpour in a city center, an at-home tea ceremony, a live klapa performance, and more - even under quarantine.
